About

My name is Tim Clemens.

The is my blog. ‘Capstone Living’ captures the heart of what this blog is about. I believe that the best life is the life lived under the Capstone, Jesus Christ.

To that end, I write on ministry, preaching, productivity, church planting and theology. Occasionally I also write about things that don’t fit neatly into one of these categories. I’ll even let you know about any good resources I’ve discovered.

My goal is to write things that will help you (and those you minister to) live life under the Capstone. If you are a Christian this blog is for you. If you are just curious, feel free to look around, take what you like and leave the rest.

MINISTRY BIO

I have been involved in Christian ministry for over a decade. Having gone through the youth ministry at Christ Church St Ives, I went on to lead a youth Bible study from 2006-2008. In 2009-2010 I was employed by Christ Church as a full time Scripture Teacher at St Ives High.

During this time I developed an SRE curriculum and published it under the brand High School SRE. The material has since been picked up by Christian Education Publications who will publish it over the next few years under the brand The Jesus Foundation Series. You can purchase it here.

In 2011 I started studying a Bachelor of Divinity at Moore Theological College. The same year I also began working as a student minister at Church By The Bridge in Kiribilli. In march of 2011 my wife and I were part of the core team that planted a service in Lavender Bay. In 2013 we moved to St Philips York St and helped plant a new congregation in Walsh Bay.

In 2015 I led a committed group of missionaries to plant a church in the city of Sydney. It’s called Grace City.

I married my wife Emma (you can follow @emmaclemens on Twitter) in December 2008. When I’m not working I love to read, surf and hang out with friends.
